He knows how to woo a girl

He's so cute right???!
Sometimes he even has these John Mayer-esque looks as he tries to say the words. So funny...
I think he's trying to speak english, but I'm not sure at some parts...
But he's got most of the right notes on that ukulele!

I should really start scrapbooking and making more cards. I need something new and fresh! Anyone have any themes or occasions I should make cards for?

1. My Best Friend (Scrapbook LO), 2. Cuz i love you more than i could ever promise..., 3. Oh! the places you'll go...., 4. Summer Love, Elles Studio GD July

That last photo is my new favorite scrapbook artist, Tara Anderson. She has the most beautiful embellishments and neat layout ideas.  I'd ask her to make me a scrapbook anyday.

California

I know I haven't been faithful to this blog. But I have been away this past week on a California eating excursion. I'm not sure how else to describe it except that I ate my way through California. Thank you to Mark and Hannah for being wonderful hosts and showing us how yummy Cali really is.

In and Out, Late night 2nd and 3rd dinners, Chick-fil-A, all you can eat sushi, all you can eat korean bbq meat, yogurtland, red mango, Las Vegas Buffets (Bellagio, Rio), McRibs and even veggie burgers!

This is the real kicker. We were only there for 7 and 1/2 days. I still feel stuffed!

I would love to post pictures, but my camera broke halfway through the trip, so I'll have to rely on a friend from the trip to post his pictures.

Until then...

The Joy of Friends

I am so thankful for my friends.
I wish I had a picture with all of them, but here's only a few..

First, my hardworking factory workers. Thanks for coming out and making many, many cards. Even though you left us June, you still came back strong. Tiff, I know you hate cards now, but thank you so much for enduring hours with me. And even for both your own creations! I'm selling those by the way!

Susan, you are seriously a great worker! But more importantly a great friend. Thanks for your suggestions, help in mass-producing and the beaaauttttiful pictures below. Angela, thanks for your moral support. I know if you could, you'd make a 100 by yourself for me. :)

This is Soojin. Just kidding. But really, just imagine her face there: it's pretty much Soojin. I don't have a picture of you. But thank you for your hospitality and your Stampin' Up supplies. I'd say at least 50% of the cards were made with your supplies. I'm putting in an order. Don't worry.

Thank you ladies! Thanks Stephen for listening to all this card talk and wanting to help, even if I didn't let you. :)

Now, onto the serious stuff. Here's some cards that lovely Susan took for me today. Beautiful.

Now on to Saturday's sale...
Ooh! More info about that....
It's a family who wants to adopt a child from Russia. They are raising money through this event by having people sell their "craft" or if they work for a company and would like to sell products (Stampin' Up, Tupperware) they are invited as well.

This Saturday 12/5 from 10 AM to 3 PM at Indigo Hotel in Palatine, IL.
See you there!

pretty finds

Juicy Couture necklace from Piperlime

ABS dress from Zappos

Can't you see them together?

I went to a boutique fashion show yesterday and it made me think about that as a future dream. I bet it costs so much money. But as my sig. other says, "it's more like a closet for you than a store".  Why yes, don't you know that's why I want one??? : )

My great friends have been helping me and we have been hard at work in mass producing. The count is now at 40. Thanks friends! Here are some masterpieces that are not on etsy because they are for the fundraiser sale! You get the first look!

(dolls not included with purchase) :)

Can you believe it's already mid-November??

mass producing

YIKES.
My good friends know there's one thing that I hate more than taking liquid medicine...it's...

mass production!!!

I'm all about quality..not quantity..sigh.

This Christmas Fundraiser that I'll be selling at is supposedly going to have hundreds of people..
Hmm..
How many cards do I need then??? EEP!

This is from someone else's site...but I love it! It makes me smile.

So cute...haha.

I'm definitely looking forward to posting up some pics of my Christmas cards...keep an eye out!  I'm so thankful for my Stampin' Up friend who is letting me borrow some of her supplies. She buys them and I use them! How awesome is that?!

*Random Thoughts*
I saw this and I honestly thought "It's so cute! I want one!" (But not really, so don't get any ideas for my Christmas gift.)

It's rabbit USB hand warmers!!! Seriously!

Sorry this one was so random. It's just an update.

In light of the season...

I was trying to make a card that was specially requested by a co-worker.
She was going to a Halloween wedding and wanted a Halloween wedding card. (Everyone has to dress up in costumes to attend this wedding.)

I said..Ummm Ok.
I was totally drawing a blank. This was a very interesting concept. But I wanted to try it.
Here's what I came up with.

The craziest thing about this card was that I had to create that veil on the witch and necktie on Frankie. I made the veil with ribbon, tissue paper and a needle.  Either way, it was a difficult but definitely helpful experience.

I love Blake Lively. She's beautiful...but mainly this picture is because

once in a while it'd be fun to be in a pretty, yet ridiculous, dress like that and just ponder about life.

A Fresh Start

This is my first blog post.

I'm a little nervous, not sure what to say...

Hmm a little bio maybe?

I'm currently a 1st grade teacher. I make and sell cards on etsy (thirtytworoses.etsy.com).
If I had a million dollars I'd go to Hawaii and the rest would go into a bank. I suppose that says much about me.

Oh, and I'd love to buy a whole closet full of new clothes and shoes.

Oohh...

In desperate need of inspiration for my cards...any good ideas?

By the way, I'm willing to give away 5 cards to anyone who would like a handmade greeting card. Please let me know the occasion, or just pick something you'd like on my etsy site.
Here's a sample...

It can be used for an anniversary, wedding, or to send love...
